Artist Residency – Miles Dunne at Creos and Init

Creos and Init had the chance to host Australian artist Miles Dunne for an artist residency for the entire month of June 2024.

Miles Dunne is known for his work in video projection and design, notably at the Illuminate Adelaide festival. During this residency, Miles deeply immersed himself in the processes and techniques of conceptualizing and fabricating artistic installations, and much more.

The residency has sparked inspiration and a desire to learn among our teams, encouraging us to stay curious about new approaches, software, and techniques. It was an opportunity for mutual enrichment.

We asked Miles 5 questions about his experience, key learnings, and takeaways.

We are honored that from as far away as Australia, an artist has shown the desire to come to learn and develop with us and within the Montreal creative community, to which we were happy to open our doors. This once again demonstrates Montreal’s attractiveness on the digital and artistic scene and as a hub of creativity on an international scale.

We want to thank to the studios and creators who welcomed Miles during his residency: Société des arts technologiques [SAT], Studio Artefact, D-BOX Technologies, KANVA, mirari, Iregular, Moment Factory as well as Serge Maheu and Maintenance Industries Meca-Fab Inc. Merci.

We are deeply committed to investing in the creative field and solidifying our position as leaders in the industry. By continuously exploring new avenues of innovation, we push the boundaries of creativity together and set new standards of excellence, reinforcing our dedication to nurturing and supporting artistic talent.
