Signage Optimization and Cultural Outreach Strategy
Contamination culturelle is a travelling outdoor group exhibition showcasing the work of 16 artists across various locations in Vaudreuil-Soulanges. To enhance its cultural dissemination activities, the Conseil des arts et de la culture de Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CACVS) commissioned a review of its existing multipurpose signage system and potential improvements.
Our work began with a comprehensive assessment of the existing system, including an analysis of operational challenges related to installation and maintenance, as well as a review of the CACVS’s long-term vision. Based on this assessment, we developed practical recommendations to optimize the structures:
Audit and identification of key issues: Addressing maintenance challenges, including corrosion of fasteners and wear of wooden components, as well as transportation logistics by optimizing the ballast blocks to reduce the number of trips required.
Material and aesthetic optimization: Replacing solid components with perforated panels made of exterior-grade MDF or aluminum, and introducing direct printing on Sintra panels.
Logistical efficiency: Modifying the posts with removable couplings to allow the ballast blocks to be stored vertically, making transportation easier and more efficient.

Following this initial assignment, our team was awarded a second mandate to provide strategic guidance for the development of a complementary installation. We designed a questionnaire for CACVS members to assess production and acquisition needs, then analyzed the findings and developed recommendations to determine the most appropriate strategic approach.
This process provided the CACVS with practical tools and a clear strategic vision to support the long-term sustainability of its cultural activities throughout the region.
